What we expect you to do

  • The role is to support the Finance Business Partner on a day-to-day basis, you will;
  • Support the Finance Business Partner in the monthly group accounting preparation.
  • Assist in making forecasts to support budgeting, business planning and decision making
  • You must take ownership and responsibility for your allocated business segments, this will include
  • Preparing the monthly accounts, including associated journal postings
  • Variance/sensitivity analysis
  • Reviewing debtors, fixed assets, creditors ensuring supplier statements are reconciled 
  • Taking responsibility for the cash flow 
  • Processing overhead invoices
  • Review and reconcile all control accounts within the balance sheets
  • Gather and analyse financial information
  • Evaluate the company’s performance using KPI’s
  • Responsible for bank reconciliation
  • Assist when required with bank postings
  • You will prepare routine and ad-hoc management reports when required.
  • Through your experience, you should be able to identify and implement continual improvement to existing reporting processes for sales & costs
  • Support business with any other tasks that may be required that is in line with the expected duties of this role.

You will report to the Finance Business Partner

This is a hybrid role but there is an expectation to work from the office in Newark, Nottinghamshire for a minimum of 3 days per week after the probationary period.
