BeanBlock Christmas Gift Giving 2022
We’ve partnered up with our local community interest company, Beanblock. They asked us if we could help to supply gifts for their festive project, running children’s Christmas parties to all those who need a little bit of help. With a sprinkle of Christmas magic, we worked with Santa to provide two hundred gifts for the children on the day, with the help of the team and our amazing supply chain.
We’ve been raising funds and supporting local charities and projects throughout the year, but BeanBlock, is one that really stood out to us last year, which is why we have jumped in to support them again this year.
Beanblock was formed by Cate and Aliki who met in March 2019. Bonding over the difficulties of being a parent, they become partners in this non-profit business. They recognised through personal experience the difficulties that families face throughout their time as parents, which is why practical solutions were integral to how their BeanBlock cafe was designed. Their family friendly café operates a full programme of community activities to give parents opportunities to make connections. BeanBlock stands out from the crowd through its dedication to mental health and commitment to providing provisions to families in Newark, as well as supporting other local charities and initiatives.
Novati’s People Executive Mandy Simpson said: “I understand how tough it can be at Christmas as a parent, especially during these challenging times. By supporting BeanBlock I hope that local families can feel that at least a little bit of weight has been lifted from their shoulders as the cost of living begins to bite.”
Cate, Co-Found of Bean Project said: “We have been so lucky since we opened (and before) to have been supported by so many amazing local businesses who honestly believe in the future of Newark, by helping us provide our hub for families. Our Newest Sponsor Novati have kindly supported our Christmas Party events, helping us provide an amazing experience as well as allowing us to offer this to those families that wouldn’t otherwise be able to bring their children.”
